What if I had been a professional musician?

The year was 2001, and I got my first guitar. Since then, albeit timidly, I never stopped resonating around.

Since I can remember, I've always picked up other people's instruments to try to get something out of them, but they refused to understand what I wanted them to do.

When I got my first guitar, my passion fully blossomed, and I decided that this was what I wanted for my life. Much of what I know was self-taught during a significant portion of my learning journey. Eventually, I decided to join my city's music conservatory, focusing on classical guitar based on the Spanish school and cello, which led to two years playing in my hometown orchestra.

My start in Design was quite turbulent. I was struggling to adapt to the traditional educational framework and was torn between my path in music and in Design. One day, after an extremely exhausting day of rehearsals, internship, and college, I was on the bus home, questioning if this was really what I wanted... What should I do? Music or Design? Where was I truly heading? Then, I looked down and found a guitar pick that I still keep with affection to this day. At that moment, it felt like a sign that I should pursue music.

But what happened next?

Today, I am a Product Designer, so where did all that resolution go? My parents intervened and persuaded me to stay in Design. That's when my perspective shifted. I fell in love with Design, but my passion for music remains strong. I breathe it and feel it everywhere I go, and I still keep resonating.

Perhaps if I had steadfastly pursued music, I would be in a completely different place today, without the friends I have now, without meeting my wife, and without my four-legged kids. I can say with absolute certainty today that I made the best choice I could have!

Despite everything, I am just a Product Designer passionate about music who still dreams of working by combining both fields, and I hope the future holds incredible opportunities in that regard!
